reads the brief synopsis for a short film titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/1169458024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jour de Vent<\/a>,&#8221; or &#8220;Windy Day.&#8221; The sweeping animation was created in 2024 by a team of six graduates\u2014Martin Chailloux, Ai Kim Crespin, \u00c9lise Golfouse, Chlo\u00e9 Lab, Hugo Taillez, Camille Truding\u2014from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nouvellesimages.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00c9cole des Nouvelle Images<\/a> school in Avignon, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A cast of characters\u2014including a businessman, a picnicking family, a young couple, a cyclist, an old man and his dog, and a guitarist\u2014spend a seemingly average day at the park. When a powerful gust of wind blows everyone&#8217;s day out of proportion, themes of change, acceptance, and connection emerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JOUR DE VENT\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/1169458024?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"209\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Much like the film&#8217;s surrender to the flow of life, the team embraced natural evolvement through the production process itself. &#8220;Interestingly enough, the story kept changing until the last day,&#8221; the graduates share in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animationmagazine.net\/2025\/08\/windy-day-creators-discuss-the-making-of-their-siggraph-award-winner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interview<\/a> with Animation Magazine. &#8220;The final shot was decided only three days before the end.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jour de Vent&#8221; has won a multitude of awards, including Jury&#8217;s Choice Award at the 2025 SIGGRAPH Festival and Best International Short Film at Quickdraw Animation Society, among many more.
